Last November Ellen Hutson began celebrating their 10th anniversary with the theme United We Flourish. And what does "United We Flourish" mean? It means that our company would not be here without the amazing companies we work with, the designers who create stunning projects showcasing the wonderful products being created, AND you -- the fabulous customers! Your response to United We Flourish was overwhelming and heart-warming! We heard repeatedly from you that you appreciate how our little company works together with the other manufacturers we carry, to bring you their products and education showing how to use those products. To thank you for your constant support and encouragement, we have partnered with some of our friends to offer exclusive limited edition stamp and die sets! These sets will be available for a limited time (most likely 3-6 months) after each release, depending on how quickly you snap them up. The theme of these stamps sets are uplifting and fun.
This month's United We Flourish collaboration is with Altenew and here's the beautiful die and stamp set combo they created, Poppy Fields:
Isn't this layering stamp set wonderful?!! It creates two different sizes and shapes of poppies, and also has the alternate line drawing (which can be hand colored). Poppies are some of my favorite flowers! And here's a sample I created with it:
To create these poppies, I used Hero Arts Rose Madder (lighter color, stamped first) and Crimson (darker, second color) Bold inks. I stamped them onto Neenah 110 Lb. Solar White cardstock and then die cut them with their coordinating dies (included in this set). The flower centers were stamped with Jet Black Archival ink, then shimmered with Clear Wink of Stella marker. Next, I popped the two flowers up with foam tape over the stems I stamped in black ink (to keep the card monochromatic).
After the sentiment was stamped on the white panel, it was trimmed to 3-7/8" wide and clear sequins scattered & adhered. The panel was popped up over a white card base with a black/white accent strip on the left. The accent strip was created with the outline poppy flowers from this stamp set -- it makes a pretty custom patterned paper!
I love quick and easy cards like this, don't you? :)
