In honor of three amazing mothers, Chaitali Narla, Julie Ebersole, and Ellen Hutson teamed up to find a way they could make a difference and honor these very special women in their lives and actively contribute to finding a cure for breast cancer. Together, they created the Courage Stamp & Die Set. The stamp set includes multiple color layering flowers and leaves along with some courageous sentiments that will offer strength to those in need. The coordinating dies are included, along with a wonderful ribbon die. Contains 27 image stamps, 6 sentiment stamps and 13 dies:
**$25 from the purchase price of each Courage Stamp & Die Set will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
We know that many of you are affected by this disease or other forms of cancer and we are turning to you for help. Together we can!
For my project, I had fun stamping all of the flowers and leaves from the gorgeous Courage stamp set in different color combos, die cutting them with their coordinating dies, and making a beautiful flower arrangement on a watercolor background created with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. Gold watercolor was splattered onto the background.
Please note: I haven’t included any product links in this post because I really wanted the focus to be on this amazing fundraiser. If you’d like more detailed information about the design or products I used, please feel free to contact me!
The ink color combos I used for the flowers and leaves are all Taylored Expressions dye ink pads (clockwise from the large upper left purple flower): Lavender Glaze/Plum Punch/Jelly Donut, Salt Water Taffy/Sprinkles/Cookie Monster, Strawberry Milkshake/Lollipop, Potato Chip/Lemon Meringue. Leaves, also clockwise from the large upper left: Granny Smith/Peapod/Sweet Basil, Granny Smith, Granny Smith/Peapod, Mint Julep/Granny Smith/Peapod, Peapod.
All of the flower centers were stamped with Delicata Golden Glitz, to coordinate with the gold splatter on the background. There is a handy downloadable PDF flower stamp layering guide that can be found here, to help you with the 2, 3, and 4-step layered flower and leaf stamps.
The pretty sentiment was gold heat embossed onto a strip of Essentials by Ellen 40 Lb. Vellum and wrapped to the back of the background panel.
