Card makers are a pretty sentimental bunch overall and that is a great thing. We spend our time showing family and friends (and sometimes strangers!) that we care deeply for them. This month, the My Favorite Things design team embraces this season of love full-force by creating projects that feature love in the most literally way: with lots of hearts! Any color, any material – hearts will stand strong as a dominant design element that simply can’t be missed.
I have three cards for you today! The first two are similar because I couldn't make up my mind which color scheme I liked better, so you'll have to let me know which is your favorite! (All bold products are linked below in the supply section)
#1 - Gold: For this gold option, I used metallic gold cardstock for the card base, then a Blueprints 20 scalloped Pink Lemonade layer.
The Ripe Raspberry panel was Die cut with the Heart Puzzle in the top center, then a Straight to my Heart arrow in the lower right. Next, I stamped the panel with the All My Love stamp set, in Versamark ink and popped it up with Copic Foam Tape.
Another heart was stamped with Versamark onto the Pink Lemonade layer below, then the sentiment added with Delicata Gold ink:
Inside, I stamped more of the All My Love hearts with Delicata Gold ink and added a die cut similar to the front panel's images ... love that row of x's and o's!
#2 - Black: This option uses all of the same Die-namics, except on a Black Licorice card base and Black Licorice layer behind the Ripe Raspberry panel:
The sentiment was stamped with Black Licorice Premium Dye ink onto the Pink Lemonade flat layer.
#3 card is totally different, but repeats the pretty gold theme I seem to be hooked on lately! The adorable heart background was created with the new Tiny Hearts Background stamp, inked with Delicata Gold metallic, and stamped onto Smooth White cardstock:
The Be Mine panel was created with Tag Builder Blueprints 3, cut from Wild Cherry cardstock, with Black Licorice inlaid die cuts stamped in Sweet Tooth Pigment ink with the Damask Background. Gold metallic cardstock die cuts were inlaid for the Be Mine word and two of the hearts:
To finish the card, I layered a piece of MFT's Vellum cut wtih the largest Jumbo Fishtail Banner behind the Be Mine panel, which is popped up on Copic Foam Tape. Finally, the stright stitch die from Blueprnits 13 was used to cut a faux stitch line across the top of the heart panel/vellum.
Thanks so much for joining me today! You can find a list of all the designers participatng in today's hop over on the MFT Blog -- I know they also have some fabulous heartfelt projects for you, that will help you finish your Valentine list!
