A very happy New Year's Eve to you all! I hope you have been enjoying the last few days of 2014 and are looking forward to what the new year brings! Today is the last Wednesday Stamp Club sketch for 2014 from My Favorite Things and I thought I would play along. You can find the sketch and all the challenge details (including a fantastic prize!) over at the MFT Blog today.
My card base is Black Licorice, with a stitched silver metallic layer, die cut with my favorite Blueprints 15. To make the silver layer fit the sketch, I just cut off the top left corner. I used that black corner to clear heat emboss the champagne bubbles (made with one of the row of dots from the Holiday Subway Art stamp set).
The Layered Champagne Glass pieces were die cut from Vellum, then the bubble insert was sponged with Golden Glitz Delicata ink and adhered on top of the vellum glass. The sentiment is also from the Holiday Subway Art stamp set. It was silver heat embossed on the Horizontal Stitched Strip (it's a little difficult to see the fantastic stitched edges on the Black Licorice panel, but trust me -- they are there!).
I finished the card with three Pierced Star STAX die cuts, the largest popped up on Copic X-Press It Foam Tape next to the sentiment.
I wish you a safe and happy New Year's Eve tonight and a healthy and prosperous New Year!
