My card uses these products being featured/revealed today: Tag Builder Blueprints 2 Die-namics, Gift Card Grooves Die-namics, and Gifting Fun stamp set (all products are linked at the bottom of this post):
Aren't you excited to see the second installment of the new Tag Builders?!! I know I sure am, since tags are one of my very favorite things to make! And for the holiday season, this set will definitely have you covered for a plethora of gift tags! I wanted to show you that you can use this sweet tag die set for other things, too ... One of my favorite new ways to use tags is to use them for shaker frames!
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. After die cutting the scalloped tag and tree cut-out from Red Hot cardstock, I die cut another plain tag from Primitive White, leaving off (or cutting off) the scalloped bottom.
2. Next, I flipped the tag over and covered the tree opening with a piece of scrap acetate I saved from packaging (cut smaller than the size of the tag).
3. Hold the acetate in place by covering the edges with 1/4" Copic Foam Tape. Peel off the foam tape protective liner, place gold sequins within foam tape frame, then top the shaker with the white tag backing.
Easy-peasy! To decorate the front of the tag, I die cut the scalloped topper from Primitive White cardstock. Don't you love that you have three choices of toppers (or the choice to leave your tag without a topper?) . . . genius! Next, I die cut sweet little holly leaves (from the Christmas Ornaments Die-namics set) out of Sour Apple Felt and accented them with tiny red gemstones. The Hemp Cord bow was colored with gold pigment ink to match the little flag I hand cut from Natural cardstock, also covered with the gold pigment ink.
The cardfront background is Natural cardstock stamped with Electric Red Premium Dye Ink and the fabulous new Fine Chevron Background (love!). I trimmed the lower edge of the background with the scalloped edge from Blueprints 9.
The sentiment is from a wonderful new year-round stamp set, Gifting Fun, which I white heat embossed only the first line on the card front, then stamped the second line with Electric Red Premium Dye Ink inside the card, adding the dots after and before each part of the sentiments myself.
The new Gift Card Grooves are so easy to use and I love that you have different size and orientation options! Another great sentiment from the Gifting Fun set was stamped below the gift card (I added the exclamation mark with my Copic Lipstick Atyou Spica Glitter Pen. I know I'll get a TON of use from this Die-namics and stamp set!
All the new products will be available for purchase on October 14 at 10pm Eastern in the MFT Boutique. During this countdown you can enter to win some HUGE prizes over on the MFT blog . . . where you will also find links to the other design team members that are sharing samples using today’s featured products!
