Monday's first giveaway period will end this Friday morning at 9am EST, so you still have time to enter on the JustRite blog post. Here's an Autumn Garden Fairy sample I made with the new fairy stamp set, In The Moonlight:
This set is illustrated by Elizabeth O. Dulemba, award-winning children's book illustrator & author! You can find out more about Elizabeth by visiting her website.
For my card, I stamped the sweet fairy image with Memento Rich Cocoa ink directly on this pretty Webster's Pages Petite Papers-WonderFALL. Then I colored it with these Copic markers and Atyou Spica Glitter Pens (Clear & Gold), to match the papers:
COPIC TIP: Remember to test your Copic marker colors first when coloring on printed papers, as some might wick/bleed more than others and generally, the colors will be more muted once applied to the papers so you might need to try several different shades to find the right vibrancy you're looking for.
I used Clear Spica Glitter Pen on the moon, after coloring it with Copic B0000 marker. Gold Spica Glitter Pen was added to the flower blossoms and fairy wings -- hopefully you can see all the pretty sparkle in this close-up (click on the photo for a larger view):
The pretty frame around the sentiment is also a stamp in this set, and it matches Spellbinders Labels Fourteen perfectly (the middle, or #3 die)! I stamped it with Potter's Clay ink, to match my card base:
After I die cut the sentiment, I left the cardstock in the die and airbrushed it with Copic Y21 marker. Then I used my Copic E08 marker to accent some of the swirls on the frame (it also matches the rusty cardstock I used as a card base), and KaiserCraft rhinestones on the other swirls:
Some beige seam binding ribbon laced through the scalloped right card edge finishes off this sweet Autumn Garden Fairy! I'm going to love using these fairy images for projects and birthday cards for my girls!
