Ahhhh, Autumn . . . my favorite time of year! The weather cools down (in Texas, that's below 90 degrees, LOL!) and I love a trip to the pumpkin patch to see all the beautiful colors of flowers, pumpkins and gourds. This is just about my favorite Autumn photo yet and was taken of my youngest daughter shortly after she started walking five years ago. We visited the local farmer's market where they had a beautiful display of pumpkins and gourds in this wheelbarrow -- just the perfect height for a curious toddler!
This is an 8" x 8" page that I plan on framing, along with three others -- one for each season . . . so be on the look out for upcoming ones! I started out with some orange diamond paper by Scrappin' Sports and added a distressed piece of patterned paper by We R Memory Keepers (retired, made exclusively for Recollections) -- a favorite I had in my stash.
The photo is framed with Prism Papaya Puree Dark cardstock and accented with some ribbon pieces that were faux stitched on. The 'Autumn' lettering was cut from some more Scrappin' Sports green plaid paper with Spellbinders' Excalibur Alphabet. The letters were adhered to the page and then shadowed/outlined with E27 Copic marker.
I created the pumpkin by cutting more Prism Papaya cardstock with Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Ovals (large set), crumpling the cardstock and then inking/distressing it with Clearsnap's ColorBox Chestnut Roan fluid chalk ink.
Three ovals were layered together with dimensional foam tape and topped with one of the doodle dies from Spellbinders Doodle Parts set! I added 'Harvest Time' to the pumpkin by using JustRite's Small Letter Set and smaller C-30 Monogram Stamper. The curve of that size circle stamper fit very well on these oval shapes. I just discovered when linking to the JustRite site that the C-30 model stamper is on sale right now for $18.95, that's $3 off the regular price!
A leaf brad and ribbon/rick-rack from Creative Impressions finish off this page. I'll be back tomorrow with a project that was a first for me!
