Here's another card I had on display at the Spellbinders booth at CHA. Remember, this was the winter show, showing retailers what would be coming up in the next 6 months so holiday items were definitely prevalent throughout the show.
This beautiful Webster's Pages background paper (Sleigh Bell from the Ting-a-Ling collection) begged for some bells, with all those words printed on it saying things like "Ting-a-Ling" and "Sleighbells Ring", so I grabbed my Spellbinders Holiday Bells die set and cut some coordinating Webster's Winter Wonderland collection papers for the top layer of the bells.
I used Neenah Classic Crest Natural White for the underlayers of the bells. If you take a look at the die link above, you'll see there are two dies in the set. One is made to go on top of the other one, so you can color coordinate or contrast the cut outs!
On the underlayers of mine, I used gold metallic rub-on cream to give a pretty brass bell look showing through.
One thing I love about most about Spellbinders dies is the ability to see through them and place the die exactly where you want on a patterned paper -- that's how I was able to perfectly place that starburst on the left bell exactly in the center.
The sentiment tag was cut with Spellbinders Double-Ended Tags using the Reverse Stenciling technique (ink your die before cutting with it) -- this leaves the outer embossed edge colored.
I used red chalk ink but then decided it needed more "umph", so glittered the outside edge.
The tag was has a layer of thin chipboard backing it, to give it more stability and is popped up on dimensional foam tape. The 6" square card base is Prism Blush Red Dark.
I hope you all enjoy the weekend and I'll be back with another Spellbinders project tomorrow!
