Hello and Happy Halloween eve! Before I get started with tonight's project, I thought I would mention -- if you follow my blog on Bloglovin', something is wrong with my feed there and it's not picking up my latest posts. Until they get the glitch figured out, you may want to opt for receiving my emailed newsletter which sends you my full blog post (including photos and links) directly to your inbox. Just enter your email address in the "Subscribe Me" box over in my right sidebar, under "Subscribe to PaperFections" . . . right over there ==> Hopefully Bloglovin will get the kinks worked out soon and I will be sure to let you know when my feed there is working properly again.
Tonight I have a sweet golden monochromatic card to share with you, which uses the current MFT Weekly Stamp Club Sketch #200:
Isn't that sweet deer adorable?!! He's from the new MFT Birdie Brown Jingle All The Way stamp set. I stamped him onto Copic X-Press It Blending Card, die cut him with Tag Builder Blueprints 2 and then colored him with these Copic Sketch Markers: E41, E42, E43, E44, and C1 for his ground shadow. His collar was colored with Gold Copic Atyou Spica Glitter Pen -- you can find this color in the Spica Glitter Pen A set or individually.
The background panel is Primitive White stamped with MFT's new Snowfall Background stamped in Delicata Golden Glitz ink, then die cut with the large stitched rectangle panel from Blueprints 15. To keep with my golden monochromatic color scheme, I heat embossed the Fine Chevron Background stamp onto Natural Cardstock with Superfine Gold Embossing Powder, then die cut it with Horizontal Stitched Strips Die-namics. Gold Leaf Cardstock was die cut with a Stitched Traditional Tag, to layer behind the deer tag and also for the star accent (included in Blueprints 15). The tags were tied up with a Hemp Cord bow and popped up on Copic Foam Tape.
I hope the ghosts and gobblins don't cause you too much trouble tonight and I hope you'll find time this weekend to play around with this sketch -- it's tons of fun and you could win a fantastic prize just by doing so!
I'll see you back here next week for the start of My Favorite Things' November Release Week!
